The Green Bay Packers have signed G Jahri Evans. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the signing Wednesday.

Evans, a 6-foot-4, 318-pound 12th-year player out of Bloomsburg (Pa.) University, was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round (108th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft. He has been voted to six Pro Bowls, named to The Associated Press All-Pro team four times and selected to the Pro Football Weekly/Pro Football Writers Association All-NFL team three times.

In 11 seasons with the Saints, he started all 169 games he played in during the regular season and all 10 postseason contests he appeared in. Evans 169 games played since 2006 are the most by an active NFL offensive lineman over that span. He has started 16 regular-season games nine times in his career, including last season.

Evans will wear No. 73 for the Packers.
