You don’t have to be Al Gore to know it’s “do or die” for a healthy, lasting planet Earth. Luckily, there are lots of people in Milwaukee rolling up their sleeves and doing innovative and often challenging work to make this happen. salutes these efforts and in the spirit of “think globally, act locally,” dedicates the month of April to the local green movement.

Every day this month, will feature at least one article about energy conservation, alternative transportation, recycling, healthier living and ways that you can help Milwaukee go green and stay there.

We hope you enjoy profiles on the Urban Ecology Center, the Urban Aquaculture Center and a local organic farm. We’ll also post tips on how to have an eco-friendly yard and pack greener lunches, articles about green construction, the truth behind bottled water, a tour of the MMSD and more.
