Dear groom: My girlfriend and I have been having problems lately. Is it appropriate to ask my barbette for relationship advice?

Absolutely.  While you are in the salon, we want you to enjoy yourself.  Sit back, relax, have a beer and feel free to tell us anything that's on your mind.

Also keep in mind that barbettes have experience with dating, so they can provide an outside opinion about anything you might want to chat about.  Many men have a solid relationship with their stylists, so it is normal to ask for their advice.  And trust us, we have heard it all.

Are there any limits to what I can talk about during my haircut?

Not really.  Most salons say to refrain from topics like politics or religion, but at groom this is not the case.  To be honest, we can find enjoyment or learning in almost any conversation. The conversations at most barbershops and salons are quite colorful and often full of humor.

The only thing unacceptable at groom is rudeness, and that's where we draw the line.

What do most guys talk about when they get their hair done?

The typical topics of conversation include current events, travel, food, wine, Milwaukee happenings, music, movies, and of course we like to discuss your grooming habits as well.  Barbettes can always tell a good story.
