Snuggle up with some holiday cheer as OnMilwaukee shares stories of everything merry and bright in the spirit of the season.

'Tis the season for hot chocolate, caroling, falling in love with the generically handsome soap star from a small town and discovering the true meaning of the holiday season. That's right: It's the most Hallmark time of the year, with a blizzard of holiday films flurrying all across your TV screen – and, thanks to OnMilwaukee and Milwaukee Film, even on the big screen with our first ever Hallmark Holiday Snowflick screening.
At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, we'll bring a special screening of the Hallmark original holiday movie "Christmas with Holly" – about a coffee shop owner who meets the peppy new toy store owner in town and maybe, just maybe, falls in love – to the gorgeous Oriental Theatre.
And to make the screening as cozy as watching those beloved Hallmark movie cliches from the couch, the viewing will allow attendees to BYOB (bring your own blanket) and purchase some tasty hot chocolate when you bring your own a reusable mug. You can also don your ugliest Christmas sweater – the characters on screen almost certainly will – and play along with holly jolly host Matt Mueller as we spot those classic Hallmark tropes with a fun viewing game.
Plus, as a "rowdy" showing, feel free to chat amongst your fellow Hallmark heads about the growing mismatched romance on screen and yell in anger when the usual contrived third act conflict arrives. It's basically everything you love about curling up to a Hallmark movie at home – but this time at the movie theater with other festive fans!
That's not all: To help this good night out do some additional good in the process – tis the season of giving, after all – we will accept new and homemade winter accessories in the lobby throughout the night to donate to Milwaukee Public Schools' Mitten Tree Drive.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
