You’ve read about the newest coffee roaster in town, Hawthorne Coffee Roasters. Now, starting today, you can get a first-hand glimpse of its operations and free samples of its coffee by attending one of its upcoming open houses at its roastery in West Allis at 1412 S. 72nd St.

The roaster will open its doors to the public on the following dates: 
Monday, March 10, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday, March 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday, April 7, 2014, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Each open house will feature roasting demonstrations throughout the day as well as free tastings lessons at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Complimentary samples will be available throughout the day.

When she’s not eating, photographing food, writing or planning for TV and radio spots, you’ll find Lori seeking out adventures with her husband Paul, traveling, cooking, reading, learning, snuggling with her cats and looking for ways to make a difference.
