Brewers right-hander Rick Helling will undergo surgery Thursday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. Team doctor William Raasch will perform the surgery. Helling, 35, who missed time early in the season with a sprained elbow, will miss the final 11 games.

In 20 games, Helling was 0-2 with a 4.11 earned run average.
