The "Social Circle" is a group effort between readers, social networkers and the OnMilwaukee.com editors. Every Monday, we ask a question via Facebook and Twitter and then post the responses from our Facebook "likers" and Twitter followers in this column. Well-known Milwaukee movers and shakers will contribute, too.

Earlier this week, Lakefront Brewery’s Fixed Gear beer made a list of "35 Most Hipster Things That Happened in 2014." So, OnMilwaukee.com asked the Social Circle for more examples of hipster Milwaukee.

Any other thoughts? Post ‘em in the Talkback feature or as a Facebook comment.

Scott Carlson: "Anything referring to fixed gears / bicycles, beards, thrift stores or non-conforming (which is conforming)."

Rachel Fell: "Lakefront Brewery was ‘hipster’ before hipster was even hipster. BuzzFeed and the rest of the nation are just catching on. Wisconsin / Milwaukee are ahead of (almost) everything so quietly that people are just finding out about us now. (Additionally, the word has also lost any discernible singular meaning at this point, it's like a vortex of itself.)"

Kat Froelich: "I saw a girl wearing an equestrian helmet while biking. As a horseback enthusiast, I didn't like seeing this. I really hope it doesn't become a trend!

Tom Oele: "Calling someone a hipster nowadays is the new ‘he who smelt it dealt it.’"

Paul Kennedy: "Every guy in Bay View looks and dresses like Yosemite Sam."

Jeff Krawczyk: "Seersucker suits. It hasn't happened yet, but I have a hunch they'll be making an ironic springtime comeback."

Russ Pracieduz: "Orange trousers."

Lisa Roe: "The Blackbird in Bay View. Love it. Super hipstery."

Patty Zastrow-Jankowski: "Lumbersexuals. All of Bay View. Putting little mustache thingies on everything. Scarves and more scarves."

Adam Zelmer: "I cringe every time beards and hipsters are in the same sentence …"
