"Hoanchella" – guess "Hoannaroo" was taken? – takes place next month and serves as both a unique summertime event and as the kickoff for lighting the East Side of the Hoan Bridge.
On Thursday, Aug. 17 Hoanchella will happen from 6 to 10 p.m. on the Milwaukee River and shores of Lake Michigan. Guests can hop on a boat with DJ Shawna or bring their own boat.
The fun includes overnight boat slips at Lakeshore State Park, an orchestrated boat cruise, a synchronized light show on the Hoan Bridge with DJ Shawna, music by the Funktoon’s pontoon and fireworks.
Described on the website as an "immersive fusion of boats, music and lights to engage, inspire and uplift the city of Milwaukee," Hoanchella tickets are now on sale, starting at $175.
