Need a jolt of joy after a long week? Here's some cheery news: Christmas is back on air as both B93.3 and 95.7 BIG FM flipped the switch to holiday music this week.

B93.3 was the first to make the festive flip, moving to entirely Christmas music beginning on Thursday at 5 p.m. BIG FM will follow suit, making its annual Christmas change-over today starting at 5 p.m. over its airwaves.

The shift comes considerably earlier than last year, when B93.3 and BIG FM went to all Christmas music beginning on Nov. 18 and 19, respectively.

In addition to the usual mix of time-honored holiday classics and new festive favorites, 95.7 BIG FM's seasonal programming will also feature the first iHeartRadio Holiday Special, a special half-hour virtual concert featuring Christmas music old and new from Carrie Underwood and Josh Groban. The holiday special will broadcast on BIG FM and on iHeartRadio's app, as well as stream over iHeartRadio's YouTube and Facebook pages, on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. – aka the day before Thanksgiving.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more Christmas cheer as we approach the holiday season. And yes, we know the first week of November is pretty early for "Jingle Bells" and "Feliz Navidad" – especially when the weather is still in the 70s – but considering the year we've had, I think we can all allow it.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
