Tribune Media Services' Channel Guide, a monthly published in Glendale, has posted a detailed Internet site on holiday programming.

The searchable guide allows you to look for programming in various categories, from music to religious shows, and is supposed to be updated through New Year's Day.

Among the gems I found searching through the list, a 1956 Christmas episode of the old "Loretta Young Show" airing on the EWTN Roman Catholic cable channel.

And there's the annual burning Yule log, which airs for three hours at 8 a.m. Christmas Day on WGN.
