Hot Pot is the name of a new restaurant reportedly moving into the space at 2430 N. Murray Ave. on the East Side.
An anonymous source says Hot Pot will be a new concept managed by the current owners of Huan Xi, located next door at 2428 N. Murray Ave.
Hot pot is a fun, communal style of dining. A hot pot of broth is set in the center of the table and diners dip ingredients like meat and vegetables into the pot to cook the food at the table.
The 2,970-square foot space, which has historically been home to quick-stop grocers since the 1960s, has been for lease since the end of last year.
Huan Xi is a popular Chinese restaurant, specializing in Szechuan-style cuisine.
