For the past decade, the Forest County Potawatomi have had held their Hunting Moon Pow Wow in Milwaukee.

The pow wow gives tribes a chance to bring both Native and non-Native people together to celebrate Native American traditions and cultures in a fun, family-friendly and educational environment.

For the next three days, the Wisconsin Center will be filled with traditional Native American dancing, drumming and singing. Open to the public, the Hunting Moon Pow Wow will also feature various competitions with cash prizes totaling more than $100,000.

Where: Wisconsin Center (400 W. Wisconsin Ave.)

Hours: Friday, doors open at 3 p.m.; Saturday, doors open at 10 a.m.; Sunday, doors open at 10 a.m.

Admission: Free

Highlights: Fun, family-friendly, fast-paced music and dancing and the opportunity to experience a new culture.
