According to an email from Chef Michael Feker, Il Mito East, 1028 E. Juneau Ave., closed yesterday, Saturday, Nov. 1.

"This decision was made with much thought and regret, due to ongoing disagreements with and limitations from the Knickerbocker Condominium Association and the landlord of the space that we wanted to transform into your home away from home," wrote Feker.

Feker also wrote that he was very grateful for "our Il Mito East flavor junkies and patrons."

"As we embark on a new culinary journey, Zesti, we are excited to move our passion and dedicate our focus to our soon-to-be-born child," wrote Feker.

The restaurant, located in the Knickerbocker Hotel, opened in February 2013. The space previously housed Osteria del Mondo.
