While Giannis serves up dunks over at Fiserv Forum, Bucks fans will be able to do some tasty dunking of their own starting this spring thanks to a new Deer District tenant.
Deer District today announced that Insomnia Cookies will move into the 1,284-square-foot storefront at 1110 N. Old World 3rd St., right next to the Beer Garden, filling the final space in the new Downtown hub. The new spot marks the cookie delivery company's third Milwaukee location, in addition to its East Side and Bay View locales.
For those who have yet to sample Insomnia, the sweets brand serves up cookies, brownies, ice cream, cookie cakes and, of course, milk to dunk them all in. You can order them right from the brick-and-mortar locations, but Insomnia famously will also deliver their baked goods and sweet treats right to your door up until 3 a.m., meaning you can get warm cookies at ungodly hours of the night without having to make dough, fire up an oven and inevitably burn your creations because you passed out or fell asleep while they were baking.
"We are excited for Insomnia Cookies to soon offer Deer District visitors, and the surrounding community, a way to satisfy their sweet tooth," said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures and Development, in a press release. "Deer District has quickly become a prime destination for elevated sports bar fare, craft beer, and diverse activities and programming."
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to join Milwaukee’s well-established business and entertainment hub in the spring of 2020," said Tom Carusona, Insomnia Cookies Chief Marketing Officer, in the release. "Our third Milwaukee location in Deer District will expand our ability to deliver warm, delicious cookies to our Insomniacs in the greater Milwaukee area."
When the new Deer District location opens in spring, Insomnia Cookies will be open from 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. on weekdays as well as 11 a.m. until 3 a.m. on weekends. Deliveries will start an hour after opening, and all menu items are deliverable.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
