This November, a new pub called Irish Genie will open in the space long occupied by Judge's Irish Pub at 1431 E. North Ave.

Judge's closed in March.

The new pub and restaurant will be under the same ownership as Bad Genie Rock Lounge. The menu will feature American pub fare with a twist. The Irish Genie will also offer a wide variety of micro and macro brews, the largest beer garden on the East Side, individual fire pits, 90-inch TVs and two mini-bowling lanes.

"The North Avenue nightlife scene deserves a jolt of new energy," said co-owner Nick Rezny. "Our plan is to deliver that jolt – without forgetting the qualities that Milwaukeeans have always appreciated in a pub."
