The Halloween-themed-but-not-scary Jack-o-Lantern Jubilee, coordinated by Milwaukee Downtown BID #21, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Red Arrow Park.

This new Halloween-themed event features free giveaways, activities and fun for all ages – especially kids between the ages of two and eight.

The first 500 attendees will pick out a free pumpkin from Downtown Milwaukee’s only pumpkin patch, sponsored by Metro Market and Pick ‘n Save.

At 12 p.m., a kid's costume parade, led by popular animated movie characters, will loop around Red Arrow Park. Families can also gather for story time with Wanda the Witch, a Halloween-themed character from The Pocket Lady, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

“We are proud to sponsor the Jack-o-Lantern Jubilee,” says Doug Gordon, CEO of WaterStone Bank. “Providing for organizations and activities that provide safe, family fun is one of the highest priorities of our support in the community.”

The Jubilee will also host face painting, bubble play time and meet-and-greets with animated movie characters and members of the Milwaukee Fire Department and Milwaukee Police Department. With October being Fire Prevention Month, MFD’s Mobile Survive Alive House will be on-site to teach kids about fire safety.

Guests can also enjoy lunch from food trucks and concession stands on-site, plus a book sale from Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library.

“We’re bringing safe, family fun to the heart of Downtown with our new pumpkin palooza,” said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. “Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee ushers in Halloween and the fall season in a way kids and families will never forget.”
