This afternoon, Festa Italiana announced that 15-year-old soprano singing sensation Jackie Evancho would serve as the festival's headlining act this upcoming summer.
Evancho made her debut on "America's Got Talent" at the age of 10, impressing the judges and audiences enough to finish as runner-up in the competition. Since then, the young soprano was signed by Columbia Records, released three studio albums – most recently "Awakening" in 2014 – of classical crossover music and performed across the globe, including President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the lighting of the National Christmas Tree in Washington D.C.
Evancho will perform on Sunday, July 24 at 7 p.m. at the BMO Harris Pavilion. Tickets for the show – ranging in cost from $22 to $48 to $78 – will go on sale at the Marcus Amphitheater box office and online at Ticketmaster.com beginning on Friday, April 1 at 10 a.m.
Festa Italiana will run from Friday, July 22 until Sunday, July 24.
