Winter may be fast approaching, but that doesn't mean that we can't look forward to summer – and Summerfest, which today announced its first headlining act: country star Jason Aldean, who will hit the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on Friday, June 28 with special guest Kane Brown.

Aldean last came to Wisconsin last summer for Country Thunder, though he hasn't played Summerfest since 2013. Brown, however, has been a regular at the Big Gig, playing the U.S. Cellular Connection Stage in 2016 and 2018.

Aldean is one of the biggest names in country right now, only the second country act in the genre's history to place four consecutive chart-toppers on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums list, as well as scoring several country awards and Grammy nominations (four, mostly recently including a nod for Best Country Album in 2014 for "Night Train") with hit songs like "Drowns the Whiskey," "Lights Come On" and more.

Tickets for Jason Aldean and Kane Brown will go on sale starting Friday, Nov. 9 at noon on Ticketmaster and Summerfest's website. Tickets can also be bought in person at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers and select Walmart stores, as well as by phone at (800) 745-3000 for a live Ticketmaster Agent or (866) 448-7849 for the "Ticketmaster Express" automated phone line.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
