After a three month break, Jewels Caribbean, 2230 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., is reawakening for the spring and welcoming guests back to celebrate.
The St. Lucian themed venue will be hosting a grand re-opening celebration on Friday, April 15 beginning at 6 p.m.
During the event, guests can enjoy a menu of Caribbean fare including the evening’s special: curry goat. Other favorite dishes including jerk chicken, curry chicken or fish and other popular items. Drink specials will also be available, as well as free rum punch shots for every guest over 21 years of age.
Beginning at 7 p.m. guests can also enjoy an evening filled with reggae, soca, dancehall and Afrobeats with performances from KOJO, JD Rankin and Club Exodus. The cover charge is just $10 for anyone who enters before 10 p.m.
Throughout the spring and summer, Jewels Caribbean will continue to offer dinner service on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m., along with live entertainment.

Lori is an avid cook whose accrual of condiments and spices is rivaled only by her cookbook collection. Her passion for the culinary industry was birthed while balancing A&W root beer mugs as a teenage carhop, fed by insatiable curiosity and fueled by the people whose stories entwine with every dish. Lori is the author of two books: the "Wisconsin Field to Fork" cookbook and "Milwaukee Food". Her work has garnered journalism awards from entities including the Milwaukee Press Club. In 2024, Lori was honored with a "Top 20 Women in Hospitality to Watch" award by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
When she’s not eating, photographing food, writing or planning for TV and radio spots, you’ll find Lori seeking out adventures with her husband Paul, traveling, cooking, reading, learning, snuggling with her cats and looking for ways to make a difference.
