Jodie Foster dropped quite the bombshell last night on "Conan": She's a Packers fan (most of the time)!
In between chats about her new movie "Money Monster," Conan asked Foster about her football fandom, shoving 3-year-olds aside (let he who has not tossed a toddler cast the first stone) and her favorite green and gold-clad team, an odd pick for a Los Angeles native – although still a very good pick nonetheless, might we very un-biasedly add!
Why the Packers love? Watch for yourself:
Indeed, the "outfits" – though, to be fair, my mom is a massive fan of the Packers and football overall, and she always talks about the teams' "costumes," so who am I to judge? And the former Clarice Starling even eventually donned a cheesehead with all of the pride and genuine exuberance of an actual fan, so welcome to the club, Ms. Foster!
Or at least, temporarily – because, as she told Conan, apparently, if the Packers suck, she's out. But hey, that's two more Oscars added to Packers fandom, and between her, Lil' Wayne and Olivia Munn, we're building up an impressive cast list of celebrity fan royalty. I mean, they're certainly an improvement from Larry the Cable Guy.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
