Kapco Metal Stamping announced details for its 19th annual Kids2Kids Toy Drive campaign, highlighted by a Celebration of Giving event on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kacmarcik Center for Human Performance, 885 Badger Circle, in Grafton. The event will feature musical performances, an outdoor holiday lights display, and a tribute to Ozaukee County’s first responders.
In 2023, Kids2Kids successfully doubled its efforts to make a meaningful connection between youth across Southeastern Wisconsin, and redefined the program to focus on student involvement.
This year’s Kids2Kids effort continues this mission which is led by a 20-person Student Leadership Committee comprised of students from Port Washington, Grafton, Cedarburg and Homestead High Schools, who are responsible for helping generate donations, business partnerships, and most of all, connecting with other young members of their communities about the power of positivity and giving back.
“Kids2Kids has always been about youth coming together to support and uplift other young people in our community,” said Jim Kacmarcik, chairman and CEO of Kacmarcik Enterprises, who founded the Kids2Kids Toy Drive in 2006.
“This campaign brings the spirit of Christmas giftgiving to life for many families and gives participating youth a firsthand understanding of the power of giving back and its impact on both themselves and their community.”
Donations are being accepted now through Monday, Dec. 23. Those interested in donating a new, unwrapped toy can make their donation at Kapco’s headquarters at 1000 Badger Circle in Grafton, Kacmarcik Cetner for Human Performance at 885 Badger Circle, or at any of the participating drop-off locations listed here. Additionally, businesses, schools, not-for-profit organizations and other groups interested in becoming drop-off sites can register here.
