{image1}OnMilwaukee.com recently told you that Milwaukee-based singer/songwriter Mary Karlzen was in Nashville, recording a new album with a host of respected and, in some cases, well-known folks. The record is due out in February.

We now hear that just last week, Karlzen recorded a duet of Tom Waits' "Heart of Saturday Night" with Matthew Ryan, for the LP, which has received a helping hand from Gary Tallent of The E Street Band. Other performers include Guster's Jos Pisapia, drummer Ken Coomer (Uncle Tupelo, Wilco), ivories-tickler John Deadrck (Dixie Chicks) and The Mavericks' drum and bass squad of Paul Deakin and Robert Reynolds.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
