{image1}Although the sign on the door says, "the bar is closed until further notice," Bay View Business Association President Charles Livermore says Kneisler's White House, 2900 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., can't be ruled "out of business" yet.

This Bay View bar has been around for more than 100 years, but the White House's historic standing seems to be crashing down.

"As far as I know it's been closed indefinitely," says Joe Dean, who co-owns the bar business at Club Garibaldi and is a White House neighbor.

"I've even talked to some of the regulars, and they say they went over there and were turned away by the sign on the door. They don't know what's going on either.

"I know the owner lives in Malaysia or something like that. I've never met the guy, all I know is that he lives out of the country and no one's seen him around."

Stay tuned to OMC as we try to get to the bottom of the White House closing.
