He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake. He's knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake. Think that I'm talking about Santa Claus? Think again. I'm talking about Krampus, the half-human, half-goat humanoid sporting horns, a long tongue and a tail, who travels with St. Nicholas and beats children with brooms before stuffing them in a basket and sending them to Hell. Holly and jolly!
For the third year in a row, Krampusnacht returns to the Bavarian Bierhaus in Glendale on Thursday, Dec. 5. Running from 4 until 10 p.m., Krampusnacht combines festivities and frights, Christmas and creepiness, with a collection of local venders; live music from The Squeezettes, Xposed 4heads and more; tasty food and beverages; a Krampus hour for the kids; and, of course, the Krampusnacht Parade presented by American Science & Surplus. Plus, to add some bonus good to this ghoulish night, there will be a toy drive benefiting Toys for Tots.
Children under 12 get free admission, while general admission tickets cost $10. For more information, check out the event page here. And if you're looking to learn even more about Krampus – and how to avoid his wrath this holiday season – check out Jason McDowell's informative write-up.
