The weather may only be starting to turn colder in Milwaukee, but Summerfest is already looking ahead to 2025. On Monday morning, we learned one of the first acts to take a festival stage at next year’s Big Gig.

Country superstar Lainey Wilson will be playing the American Family Insurance Amphitheater this year, marking the first major announcement of the 2025 festival lineup. She’ll open the second weekend of the festival, playing on Thursday, June 26th.

Wilson is currently riding high this year, after the release of her fourth album, “Whirlwind” this past August. 2023’s “Bell Bottom Country” took home the GRAMMY for Best Country Album, in addition to winning five CMA awards and four ACAs, including both association’s Female Artist of the Year categories and the CMA for Entertainer of the Year.

In addition to the June 26th stop at Summerfest, she already has a June 27th visit to Cadott, WI planned as part of the Hoofbeat country festival. Summerfest is just Wilson’s fourth US concert announcement of 2025 so far.

Tickets for Lainey Wilson  will go on sale beginning Friday via Ticketmaster, with a presale beginning on Tuesday for Citi card holders. Summerfest and platinum presale opportunities will follow on Thursday and Friday via Ticketmaster as well.

Summerfest will return for three weekends in 2025, taking place from Thursday-Saturday on June 19-21, June 26-28, and July 3-5 of next year. Read more about that here.
