The replacement of an engine has been completed early, allowing the Lake Express Ferry to get back back underway a day earlier than expected after a 10-day shutdown for the repair.

The high-speed ferry provides service between Milwaukee and Muskegon, Mich., with six daily crossings through August, and four daily crossings in September and October.

Lake Express tickets can be purchased using the ferry’s online reservation system at lake-express.com. The site also permits users to alter reservations if necessary.
