The Bucks and Ald. Milele Coggs will host a town hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Hillside Family Resource Center, 1452 N. 7th St. to discuss the impact of a new arena a block from the Hillside housing complex.
"There are certainly many questions and concerns held by residents and observers, and I encourage individuals to attend Thursday’s town hall meeting to ask questions and offer input," said Coggs in a statement.
The meeting will allow Coggs to hear neighborhood comment in advance of the Common Council's first hearing on the proposed arena project – at the Steering and Rules Committee meeting – slated for Aug. 31
In other news today, the Bucks announced the signing of 29-year-old free agent forward Marcus Landry.
Landry, a Milwaukee native who played for the Badgers from 2005 to 2009, was undrafted and has played professionally in the NBA – with the Knicks and Celtics – the NBA D-League and internationally in Spain, Puerto Rico, China and Venezuela.
