Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters champion, has committed to play in the 40th annual U.S. Bank Championship this summer.

Boo Weekley and Nick Watney, each of whom has won a tournament on the PGA Tour this year, also will participate in the tournament, which runs from July 19-22 at Brown Deer Park. The commitments were announced by Dan Croak, the tournament director.

Langer, who won the Masters in 1985 and 1993, has never played in the U.S. Bank Championship. The European Ryder Cup captain (2004) has finished in the top 10 twice this season and will be eligible for the Champions Tour when he turns 50 on Aug. 27.

Weekley posted his first victory at the Verizon Heritage three weeks ago. He also lost the Honda Classic in a playoff with Wisconsin native Mark Wilson. Watney won his first tournament at the Zurich Classic two weeks ago, beating Ken Duke by three shots.
