Lindsey Buckingham, the enigmatic former leader of Fleetwood Mac, plays a solo show at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at The Pabst Theater, a venue he visited almost two years earlier.

Buckingham's new CD, "Gift of Screws," will be released on Reprise Records in mid-September. Early reports indicate that the disc has a harder edge than the elegant acoustic sounds present on "Under the Skin," which came out in 2006. Buckingham recruited Fleetwood Mac mates John McVie (bass) and Mick Fleetwood (drums) to play on several tracks.

Buckingham begins his tour Sept. 7 in California and ends it Oct. 19 in New York. The Milwaukee show, which follows a date Oct. 2 in Chicago, falls the day after Buckingham's 59th birthday.

Reserved tickets for the show cost $51.50 and go on sale at noon Aug. 1 at The Pabst box office, pabsttheater.org and tickets.com and (414) 286-3663 or (800) 511-1552.
