The first snowfall may have mostly melted away, but it's at least beginning to sound a lot like Christmas as two local radio stations – 95.7 BIG FM and B93.3 – have made the switch to seasonal music

B93.3 made the move first, turning to holiday standards and Christmas carols on Monday at 3 p.m., while 95.7 BIG FM waited until 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning to flip the switch. Both will go completely Christmas music – ranging from classics from Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby to new icons from Mariah Carey and Pentatonix – until the actual holiday rolls through on Dec. 25.

And yeah, sure it's still more than a week until merely Thanksgiving – but Turkey Day is late this year, we've already had the first significant snowfall and it's not like you're going to listen to those famous Thanksgiving carols while cooking in the kitchen. So while I'm normally not pro-Christmas before Thanksgiving, this year, I'm actually not complaining.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
