You heard it on OnMilwaukee.com first. Nicole Locy, a favorite on FOX 6, is leaving the station.

A regular on the station for three years, Locy is leaving the station at the end of the month. OnMilwaukee.com has learned that former Miss Wisconsin and current member of FOX 6's popular "Wake Up News" is moving to Madison. Her last day will be May 25.

Locy's departure is another loss for the station that just last year lost Stacia Dubin and more recently Charles Benson.

Locy will join her husband (an assistant coach with new Badgers basketball coach Bo Ryan) in Madison and will look for similar work on a Madison television station.

"Nicole has grown so much at this television station -- she always walks in with a smile, determination and a can do attitude," said Bob Clinkingbeard, FOX 6's news director. "Family is a lot more important than a job, and we understand the reason for her moving. But she will be sorely missed."

Locy was one of the rising stars in the Milwaukee TV news. From her start as a traffic reporter to her rise to anchor, viewers will miss her personality and witty banter with Spunky owner and meteorologist, Scott Steele.
