Summerfest announced this morning that, hot off his performance of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, Luke Bryan will headline Summerfest, hitting the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on Thursday, June 29.

The country star is far from a stranger to Summerfest, with this being his second straight visit to the Big Gig's biggest stage – as well as his second time headlining Summerfest in back-t0-back years, the last time doing so in 2013 and 2014. In fact, the only time he's missed Summerfest in recent years was 2015 – but the country hitmaker still hit Wisconsin that summer with a performance at Country Thunder.

Tickets for the show – as always, complete with Summerfest admission – will go on sale beginning on Friday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers and Walmart stores, as well as online at Ticketmaster.com and over the phone either through the Summerfest box office (414-273-2600), through a live Ticketmaster agent (1-800-745-3000) or through Ticketmaster's automated ticket line (1-866-448-7849).

There will also be a presale for fans who subscribe to Summerfest's email updates and alerts, as well as follow the festival on Facebook and Twitter, running on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. or until the resale inventory is exhausted.

Luke Bryan joins fellow country stars Zac Brown Band, as well as Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers and two nights of Tom Petty as the Summerfest headliners announced so far. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for the rest as they are unveiled.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
