Summerfest was already lining up to be perfect for anyone looking for a country music fix, with both Brad Paisley – with Darius Rucker – and Zac Brown Band lined up as Marcus Amphitheater headliners. In case country fans needed one more excuse to bust out the cowboy boots and hat, however, Summerfest announced country star Luke Bryan as its latest Amphitheater headliner.
This year marks Bryan's second year in a row performing in Milwaukee as a Summerfest headliner, with last year's show in front of a sold-out crowd. He'll take the stage – along with his opener and season four "The Voice" champion Danielle Bradbery – on Saturday, June 28 with a setlist likely mixed with hits both old ("Do I," "Rain Is a Good Thing," "Someone Else Calling You Baby") and new ("Crash My Party," "Drink a Beer").
Tickets for Luke Bryan go on sale Saturday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. As usual, Amphitheater tickets include Summerfest admission and can be purchased at the Summerfest box office, Ticketmaster ticket centers, Walmart stores, online through Ticketmaster's website or by phone through live Ticketmaster agent (1-800-745-3000) or Ticketmaster Express automated line (1-866-448-7849).
Now there's just one more headliner date – July 1 – left to fill. Place your bets now.
Summerfest runs June 25 through July 6 with a day off on June 30.
