Channel 12 morning news co-anchor Caroline Lyders, who made headlines for dating "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks, is leaving the station to pursue other opportunities.
Lyders could not be reached for comment, but employees at Channel 12 were informed of her impending departure Tuesday. Lyders worked at the station for three years.
The Boston Herald reported a few weeks ago that Lyders interviewed for a morning news gig in Boston.
