Maison, the French restaurant which opened in May 2017 at 5921 W. Vliet St. has closed.

Owner and chef Michael Quinn says the decision was a complicated one.

"We really liked the location," he says. "We liked our neighbors, and I’ve made so many friends from the area. But ultimately, we have to do what’s best for the business. For now that means taking the time to reimagine, retool and restructure what Maison can be."

Quinn elaborated in a statement posted earlier today on Facebook.

Quinn noted that the building and restaurant are being sold as a turn-key operation, complete with kitchen equipment and furnishings.

"It would be a great spot for a chef who’s just starting out," Quinn noted.

The property is listed with Coldwell Baker at $599,900. For additional details, contact Andrea Haas at (414) 349-0126 (mobile) or (414) 277-9500 (direct).
