After shutting down on March 18, Major Goolsby’s, 340 W. Kilbourn Ave., will be reopening on Tuesday, Aug. 11 just in time for the Bucks to face the Wizards.

The popular longtime Downtown sports bar will reopen Tuesday for lunch and dinner, resuming specials during Bucks games as well as $7 lunch specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays (includes soda, fries and choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, chicken sandwich or pulled pork sandwich).

As usual, the bar will be open and broadcasting Brewers games, college and NFL football, golf and DNC news coverage on their myriad HD TVs and video walls.

Safety protocols have been put into place for customer safety, including the removal of seating to accommodate distancing and the addition of hand sanitizer for customer use. Masks are required for all customers when entering, leaving or moving about the restaurant and when interacting with staff.

Starting Aug. 11, Major Goolsby’s will be open Tuesday through Saturday at 11 a.m. (or as needed to accommodate Bucks’ games). Carry-out and curbside pick-up are also available. Customers can call (414) 271-3414 with orders or questions.
