In the second annual Combos (yes, the snack food) America's Manliest Cities study, Milwaukee comes in at No. 6, just ahead of Chicago. In case you missed last year's ranking, Milwaukee's up 11 spots from 2009.

Chicago had the biggest move in the rankings, going from 46th in 2009 to No. 7 this year. Guess that's what an NHL Stanley Cup win does!

The study is commissioned by Combos in partnership with Bert Sperling, the researcher behind the popular "Best Places to Live" studies.

The study ranks 50 major metropolitan areas, using "manly" criteria like the number of home improvement stores, steak houses, pickup trucks and motorcycles per capita. Portland, Ore., ranked last in this year's study.

The top 10:

1. Charlotte, N.C.
2. Columbus, Ohio
3. Kansas City, Mo.
4. Nashville
5. Baltimore
6. Milwaukee
7. Chicago
8. Indianapolis
9. Washington, D.C.
10. Philadelphia
