The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts' three-show Marcus Center Presents series in Uihlein Hall will kick off with an appearance by Garrison Keillor on Monday, Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Keillor, host of the popular "A Prairie Home Companion" radio show, is scheduled to open the series with a show filled with anecdotes about growing up in the Midwest, the people of Lake Wobegon and "late-life fatherhood."

Tickets for Keillor's show go on sale Friday, Aug. 5 at noon at the Marcus Center box office, and range from $40 to $65.

Next up in the series is "Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra With Wynton Marsalis," featuring 15 world-class jazz musicians under the leadership of Marsalis, on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Tickets go on sale on Friday, Aug. 26.

"Savion Glover: Bare Soundz," closes out the series on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

"Bare Soundz" pays homage to legendary jazz greats and tappers including Gregory Hines, Count Basie, John Coltrane and Thelonius Monk. Glover and two protégés take to the stage on individual tap platforms, creating rhythms and melodies with their feet accented by humming vocals.

Single tickets go on sale to the public on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Tickets for all shows will be available at the Marcus Center box office, by visiting MarcusCenter.org, or calling (414) 273-7206.
