It's been a whirlwind of a month for construction crews as they've readied Matador Taco & Tequila Bar at 1110 N. Old World Third St., for opening.

According to owner Sean Pliss the restaurant, which is located in the former home of Lucille’s Piano Bar & Grill, will open its doors to the public beginning at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Matador will offer up traditional street-style tacos – like the ones you can see in their brief Facebook video below – along with a selection of over 100 bottles of tequila.

Read more about the concept, which will also include a robust entertainment and nightlife component, in our article from earlier this fall.

Once open, Pliss says Matador’s hours will be Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to close and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to close.
