One-bedroom (and a few studio) apartments are being built at the The Mayer Building, 342 N. Water St., at the corner of St. Paul Avenue in the Historic Third Ward.
According to Pieper Properties, the one-bedrooms will be "reasonably priced starting at $1,073 per month, with a studio units at $910."
Scaled renderings of the apartments are online, with true color representations of the finishes. Ann Pieper at Pieper Properties says the units will include "sleek black cabinetry, subtly flecked white countertops, rich brown wide-plank-look floors and 11-12-foot-high ceilings with abundant windows."
The build out will start with 15 units on the second floor before proceeding with up to 60 additional units on other floors.
The first floor of the building remains vacant.
