The 2012 Milwaukee Film Festival will take attendees "Behind the Screen" for its official Opening Night Party Sept. 27.
Held at Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin following the screening of festival opener "Starbuck" at the Oriental Theatre, the party will feature live music and interactive exhibits inspired by this year's film selection.
Performances include Milwaukee soul legend Harvey Scales with the Kings Go Forth rhythm section, live DJ sets from DJ Madhatter of 88NINE Radio Milwaukee and WMSE 91.7 FM, the Gravity Benders Breakdance Crew, Shaolin Center's traditional Chinese Lion Dance and silhouette dancers from Danceworks.
Guests can also enjoy a Cinema Hooligante Giant Spider photo booth, a beauty bar by Neroli, hors d'oeuvres from Bartolotta Catering and Events and two free drinks for all ticket and pass holders.
Tickets to the Opening Night Party are $25, or $15 for attendees with an Opening Night film ticket and Milwaukee Film members. Festival Pass holders get in free.
