The Milwaukee Film Festival has announced the program lineup for Sound Vision – a new, cohesive series of music documentaries – for its 2012 festival. 

The Sound Vision program will feature eight films covering a range of music from pop culture legend Rick Springfield and The Sugarhill Gang to the story of a 77-year-old Icelandic woman who released 59 albums in 7 years.

Sound Vision 2012 will feature "An Affair of the Heart," "Andrew Bird: Fever Year," "Bad Brains: A Band in DC," "Charles Bradley: Soul of America," "Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey," "Grandma Lo-Fi," "I Want My Name Back" and "Mama Africa."

In a special partnership, The Hotel Foster, 2028 E. North Ave., will also host a live music series on select nights during the 2012 festival. OnMilwaukee.com is a sponsor. 

Admission to the post-film series is free to anyone with a festival pass or ticket stub from that day's screenings, or $5 for regular admission. Drink specials will also be available for Milwaukee Film Festival attendees.
