I love it when I have visitors from out of town, especially when they have spent little to no time in Milwaukee and I get to really show off the unique aspects of our town.

In early February, I will be hosting such guests for the weekend and I am already planning out where to go. Because they will have a toddler in tow, I won't focus on nightspots or bars, but here are a slew of places I want to take them:

  • Turner Hall fish fry
  • Koz's Mini Bowl
  • Organ Piper Pizza
  • Maria's Pizza (Will pick only one pizza place, but which one? Argh!)
  • Harley Museum
  • Discovery World
  • The Domes

For guests without children, I would add Blu to this list, because of the view of the city, along with Hooligan's (classic) and more foodie-friendly restaurants like Odd Duck, Crazy Water and The Noble.

What else is "truly Milwaukee" and / or your go-to places for visitors? I don't want to overwhelm them with a packed schedule, and yet, I really cannot wait to play Brew City Ambassador for the weekend.
