{image1}Boyz II Men comes to Milwaukee Monday, Nov. 29 as the Miramar Theatre celebrates 92 years as an East Side institution and cozy 350-seat entertainment venue.

Boyz II Men might be called the original, modern-day boy band, predating both 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys. Heavily influenced by doo-wop groups such as The Platters and The Dells and developed by ex-New Edition member Michael Bivins, Boyz II Men quickly rose to heavyweight status after the foursome's 1991 debut, "Cooleyhighharmony." In August, the group released "Throwback" a collection of cover songs from the '70s and '80s.

In other news, the PBS supergroup and Billboard Chart-toppers Rockapella will bring its holiday presentation of "Comfort & Joy" to the Miramar stage on Thursday, Dec. 2. This family show will feature vocal favorites and holiday classics in a warm and intimate setting. Only 300 seats will be sold for this one-night-only performance.

First opened in 1913 as a silent movie house, the Miramar Theatre has played host to countless legends including Mickey Rooney, Patti Duke, Rita Moreno, Bernadette Peters and Jack Klugman, as well as to some of the most popular theatrical presentations in the country.

Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling the Miramar Theater at (414) 967-0302.
