According to owner Bill Stace, there was an electrical fire this morning in the basement of the Miramar Theatre, 2844 N. Oakland Ave. No one was injured – it broke out around 2 a.m. – but there was a lot of smoke damage.

The venue is temporarily closed.

"We will be working hard to reopen ASAP," Stace posted on Facebook.
