Why you can’t miss it

Few things in life are as evergreen as the music of Fleetwood Mac. The songs that you first fell in love with from the backseat of your dad’s car as a kid still hold the same wonder-inducing power, even after years of life experience and thousands upon thousands of listens.

Much like their music, the members of the band have aged gracefully and still sing and play with the same aptitude and force that changed the world in the '70s. That is not to say, however, that the band itself has not evolved over time. Earlier this year guitarist, Lindsey Buckingham was ousted from the band and quickly replaced with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers staple Mike Campbell. Campbell not only brings the kind of road-tested resume needed to fill the shoes of a legend, but also offers a nostalgic treat for Petty fans still coping with the loss of the American icon just over a year ago.

As timeless as they are, no good thing lasts forever – so do not miss Fleetwood Mac this Sunday at the Forum.

Song starter pack

The Hit: "Landslide"

Speaking of timelessness, this is the quintessential Stevie Nicks showcase. It is a deeply personal song about growing up and older.

B-Side Beauty: "Never Going Back Again"

It’s probably not fair to call any song off of "Rumours" a B-side, but "Never Going Back Again" needs to be recognized. Hopefully when Lindsey Buckingham says he’s never going back again, it’s not true.

Can’t Wait to See it Live: "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac throws the whole weight of the band into "Go Your Own Way" more so than any other song in its catalog. Watch it live and take a trip back to 1977 Sunday at the Forum.
