The Milwaukee Public Market will open on Saturday, October 15, market officials announced in a press release on Thursday. An official "bread-breaking" ceremony will launch the interior portion of the market at 9 a.m. and the celebration will continue on Sunday, Oct. 16.

The outdoor stalls on Water Street, north of the St. Paul Avenue market are already active and 82 percent of the retail space in the market has now been filled.
