The Fourth of July barbecue was totally enjoyable. The food was great. The drinks were cold. The conversation was relaxed.
Then, a bunch of uninvited visitors arrived and threatened to ruin the day ...
Mosquitoes!
Apparently, the cool, wet spring that we suffered through made perfect breeding conditions for these bloodsuckers. They were relentless and seemingly immune to previously reliable spray-on repellents.
Are we doomed to have a mosquito-laden summer?
Is there anything we can do to get rid of these nuisances?
I know the basics -- wear light-colored clothing, refrain from using cologne and other heavily-scented products. Eat garlic. Burn a citronella candle ...
But, do you have any ideas that work?
