The Milwaukee Urban Gardens' (MUG) annual benefit, called "Planting the Seed - A Benefit for Milwaukee Urban Gardens," is scheduled for Tue., Sept. 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Barossa, Milwaukee's first all-organic restaurant, located at 235 S. Second St.

MUG's mission is to protect, create and develop community gardens and open green space in Milwaukee to enhance urban living for all its citizens. The organization is in its third year of service.

Beans & Barley, Tess, the Velvet Room, Don Quijote and Simma's Bakery will also provide food and beer and wine will be available courtesy of Downer Wine & Spirits and Harbor City Brewing Company.

The evening will also feature the Zodiac Luxury Lounge's house DJ, The Invisible Rabbit, and a raffle, offering the chance to win art pieces, gift certificates and more.

"Joining me and the crew at Milwaukee Urban Gardens is one way we can advance the preservation and creation of community gardens," says Melissa Modjeska, MUG board member.
