Think you know your sweetie this Valentine’s Day? The Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals (MULYP) wants to test your knowledge.
This Friday, the MULYP holds the fourth annual "Dating Game and Bachelor / Bachelorette Auction."
Formatted like the 1970s hit television show ‘The Dating Game," male and female partners will be divided by a screen and asked a series of questions. And just as host Jim Lange witnessed in the early 70s, you can be sure there’ll be laughs and exclamations at the barrage of answers.
Following "The Dating Game," an auction and party with DJ Damage will spice up your love-filled weekend. All proceeds benefit the Wesley L. Scott Scholarship Fund for college bound students. Each year, the fund grants scholarships to several graduating seniors in the area.
The Milwaukee Urban League Young Professionals is a division of the Milwaukee Urban League. The organization is works with professionals and groups committed to social, political, economic and community activism in the Milwaukee area.
You can purchase tickets online through Feb. 12 or at the door the night of the event. The event is held at the Bavarian Inn, 700 W. Lexington Blvd.
OnMilwaukee.com staff writer Maureen Post grew up in Wauwatosa. A lover of international and urban culture, Maureen received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
After living on the east side of Madison for several years, Maureen returned to Milwaukee in 2006.
After a brief stint of travel, Maureen joined OnMilwaukee.com as the city’s oldest intern and has been hooked ever since. Combining her three key infatuations, Milwaukee’s great music, incredible food and inspiring art (and yes, in that order), Maureen’s job just about fits her perfectly.
Residing in Bay View, Maureen vehemently believes the city can become fresh and new with a simple move across town.
